- Event Manager
Description
At Kinetic, we create corporate meetings, incentive programs, brand moments, and special events that do more than check the boxes. We build experiences that engage people, strengthen relationships, and make our clients look good.
We are looking for an experienced Event Manager who knows how to make it happen from the first planning conversation through the final post-event wrap-up. This is a high-autonomy role for someone who can be handed an event, build the plan, manage the moving pieces, and lead execution with confidence.
You will have teammates, tools, and training on Kinetic systems and processes. What we need is an event pro who already understands the full event lifecycle and can move work forward without needing constant direction. If you are calm under pressure, serious about the details, and energized by creating memorable experiences for nationally recognized brands, we would like to meet you.
What You Will Own
As Event Manager, you will lead multiple corporate meetings, incentive trips, product launches, and special events at once. You will be the person keeping the work moving, the details aligned, and the client experience strong.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Own event planning from kickoff through on-site execution and post-event wrap-up.
- Take assigned events and independently build full project plans, including timelines, budgets, milestones, responsibilities, deliverables, and follow-up needs.
- Conduct destination and venue research, site inspections, and feasibility reviews based on client objectives, budget, logistics, meeting space, guest experience, and overall fit.
- Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, production schedules, project schedules, and critical paths.
- Lead client meetings, manage day-to-day communication, and provide clear, timely project updates.
- Source venues and suppliers, negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and keep partners accountable to the plan.
- Oversee logistics including travel, accommodations, transportation, registration, gifting, attendee communications, staffing, and guest experiences.
- Prepare and maintain event documentation, including proposals, contracts, rooming lists, transportation manifests, production schedules, run-of-show documents, and post-event recaps.
- Partner with internal creative, production, and account teams to make sure deliverables are clear, on time, and aligned with the client experience.
- Serve as the on-site event lead, managing vendors, staff, timing, client expectations, attendee needs, and real-time decisions.
- Monitor budgets, spot risks early, solve problems quickly, and make sound decisions when plans need to shift.
- Lead post-event evaluation, reconciliation, and recommendations for making the next program even better.
Requirements
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of corporate event management experience, preferably in an agency environment.
- Proven ability to plan and execute events independently from concept through completion.
- Strong understanding of event management at every level, from strategy and client communication to budgets, contracts, logistics, documentation, on-site execution, and wrap-up.
- Experience managing multiple active projects at once while meeting deadlines and protecting the details.
- Strong budget, vendor, venue, transportation, registration, travel, and guest experience management skills.
- Experience conducting destination and venue site inspections and evaluating properties through both a client’s and attendee’s lens.
- Comfort with project management software, event technology platforms, shared documents, and detailed tracking tools.
- Clear, confident communication with clients, suppliers, venues, attendees, and internal teams.
- Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving environment.
- Calm, solution-oriented, and steady when pressure rises or plans change.
- Willingness to travel and lead events on site.
How We Work
This role is not built for someone who needs a step-by-step playbook. We will train you on Kinetic systems, standards, clients, and processes, but the day-to-day work requires strong ownership. You will not be micromanaged. You will be trusted to assess what needs to happen, ask smart questions, make decisions, and keep the work moving.
We do it together, and together we succeed. You will have a team around you when collaboration makes the work stronger. But you should also be fully capable of planning and executing an event on your own when the assignment calls for it.
Why You Will Love Working With Us
- Competitive salary with bonus opportunities.
- 100% paid benefits package for the employee.
- Flexible work environment including unlimited vacation after 1 year.
- Opportunities for professional growth, learning, and advancement.
- A collaborative, supportive team culture that takes quality seriously and still has fun.
- The opportunity to create memorable experiences for some of the world's leading brands.
