We Crush Events is the future of corporate events! We manage and execute hundreds of events a year for some of the top companies across the globe. These events include virtual experiences, physical in-person events and a hybrid of both as we pioneer this new form of gatherings!
Our team of kickass event professionals spans across the nation. We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our Events team as an Events Coordinator. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Director of Events, contributing to the planning and execution of corporate events.
WHO YOU ARE:
Our new Events Coordinator is a hungry self-starter looking to learn and work side by side with the Regional Manager of Events producing events from start to finish!
You love talking and listening to people in hopes of figuring out a solution to their problems. You ask a lot of questions.
You get an adrenaline rush every time you cross something off your list.
You don’t just finish your tasks, you crush them.
You have a Type-A personality and probably color-code your closet, or make your bed before you get in it.
You’re used to wearing many hats, and you look great in all of them!
You take initiative, not a backseat.
Your attention to detail is so refined that you could find a needle in a haystack without breaking a sweat.
You must have been a juggler in a past life because now you can multitask like a pro, and you have a black belt in time management!
You always want to be the first to figure “it” out - whatever it is.
You’ve been “in events” for a long time or are just getting started, but a challenge, a risk and something refreshing lights you up.
DAY-TO-DAY LOOKS LIKE:
EVENT PLANNING
Managing client budgets of $3,000 - $2,000,000+ to cover all elements of their desired virtual, physical or hybrid event
Building contracts, Run of Shows, creating timelines, communicating with venues/vendors, and fully producing corporate events from A to Z
Day-of event management either onsite or virtually from load-in to load-out.
Extensive venue research to find the perfect fit for our clients event needs
Creating brochures for venue and event enhancement presentations
SALES
Working with the Regional Manager of Events to do the following:
Recruit brand new clients via cold calling, electronic and other outreach methods
Closing a high volume of virtual and in-person event bookings and upselling
Negotiating rates with venues and vendors
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Events Management and/or Hospitality Industry highly preferred
Experience with software platforms like Zoho CRM, Zoom, G-Suite, Canva, etc. preferred
Bachelor's degree required
2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role required
Daily and weekly interaction with Regional Manager of Events, company HQ and other Regional Markets via Zoom. We Crush Events is a TEAM and we all work collaboratively!
AGGRESSIVE COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Salary + Bonus for $65K - $75K target total compensation ($50K-60K base with additional bonus based on sales contribution and event excellence).
Cell phone allowance, mileage reimbursement (in-person events), wellness benefits, health benefits & 401k provided.
LOCATION: The position is based from home, at-home office area required. Must be in Austin, TX or Dallas, TX based. You’ll be in the field for client and partner-facing appointments when needed, and of course onsite events.
JOB TYPE: Contract While in Training, Transition to Full-Time Upon Satisfactory Performance
