Development, management, and execution of travel incentive programs, sales meetings, and/or tradeshows as a third-party provider to companies nationwide.  Account Director is expected to self-manage responsibilities, tasks, and priorities with little supervision – working either in a team capacity (as the lead or with another Account Director as lead) or solo.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, destination search, budget, proposal, contract preparation and negotiation (client and vendor), site inspections, program planning (including websites, registration, and mobile app), on site operations, accounting, and final billing.

    • Airline websites/booking management platform(s)
  • Present a well-groomed, professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Meet and correspond with clients and vendors portraying a positive, business manner.
    • Including in-person meetings, video conferences, phone calls, email or text messages, etc.
    • In addition to maintaining a calm, respectful attitude with difficult or disgruntled people.
  • High energy and creative mindset to develop innovative campaigns and interpret client objectives to provide creative solutions and ideas.
    • Experience in developing and designing incentive or reward themes that have increased brand awareness and maximized customer loyalty, or a related experience.
  • Adept at solving practical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume


  • Report to Vice Presidents
  • Onboarding and guidance in the SEI daily business structure, operational methods, tools, and culture is provided hands-on with an Account Director team, or teams.
  • Training, if/when required, will be tailored to the experience of the individual, and adjusted as needed.


  • Overall Program Manager
    • Ownership of all responsibilities as outlined below – whether managed by Account Director or delegated to another team member.
    • Correspondence and communication with client, vendors, partners, attendees, etc.
    • On-site program execution – lead responsibility, team schedules, meetings, crisis management, etc.
    • Sales for future programs/years with client, and/or any potential other clients on site.
  • Budget Management – destination research, sourcing, line-item budget preparation, buy-in pricing, optional tour pricing, etc.
    • Includes proposal preparation for documentation to be sent to the client, or for presentation to the client.
    • Includes budget updates as required by the client or by the evolution of the project.
    • Program final billing preparation, following audit of vendor bills.
  • Contracts Management – request, negotiate, finalize, and administer all vendor and client contracts.
  • Program Theme development to enhance brand awareness and develop marketing strategies for clients.
    • Gather information and assist in Marketing Campaign, with all collateral material
  • Project Management of partners/services provided such as:
    • Program website development – information site with updates as required, registration and reporting management, as well as mobile app creation and deployment.
    • Air travel services – best booking and ticketing methods, communication with attendees, review of itineraries prior to ticketing, flight updates, reporting, and travel-day monitoring.
    • Creative, print, and fulfillment services – guidance on program logo and document design, packaging, shipping, etc.
  • Plan, develop, and maintain all components of program(s).
    • Coordinate and accomplish client requests and expectations with vendors and team.
    • Organize and travel with client on site inspections (if needed) to walk through the logistics of the program.
    • Assist participants/attendees with questions and support as needed through registration and travel.
    • Prepare program specification details for use by onsite travel team, the client, and the vendors.


  • Standard office hours are 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
    • Must be available to work extended hours before and after published business hours and/or weekends, if needed.
    • First six months will require working in the office daily. Afterwards, candidate will be eligible for consideration for SEI’s Work-From-Home Policy (maximum of two pre-approved and set days per week, not including Fridays).
  • Noise level in the office is usually moderate.
    • On-site noise level can vary depending on destination, location, function, etc.
    • Volume may be high with a muti-member dance band, or it may be low in a business meeting or a corridor.
  • Office space consists of cubicles and offices, some offices are shared.
  • Travel is required – by air, sea, and/or land, both domestically and internationally.
    • Temperature in program destination can vary, from high to low.
    • Functions may be held indoors or outdoors.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to push, pull, lift, and/or move items/boxes up to approximately fifty pounds.
  • Walking and/or standing for 10-12 hours per day when on-site, in large timeframes or distributed throughout the day.
    • May be on variable surfaces (concrete, carpet, sand, etc.).
    • Can move safely over uneven terrain and/or through crowded spaces.
    • Walking up and down multiple flights of stairs may be necessary.
    • Able to traverse distances of up to a half-mile one-way (such as at large, sprawling hotels and convention centers).
  • Able to work up to 14-16 hours per day when on-site, including sitting, standing, walking, computer work, attendee assistance, etc.


  • Fluent in English is required, and fluency in Spanish is a bonus.
  • Selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history, motor vehicle, and credit background check.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and required limits of liability car insurance.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain shortly after hire, a valid passport.
  • Must be vaccinated for COVID-19, along with recommended boosters.
