Annual Salary: $50,000 plus goal-based bonus incentives

The Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association (COHBA) is seeking an organized, personable, and motivated Events Director to lead the planning and execution of association events and coordinate bookings for the COHBA Event Center.
This position works closely with the Executive Officer, staff, members, and volunteer committees to deliver well-organized events that strengthen relationships, support the home building industry, and provide value to our members.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate association events, including the Parade of Homes, Build My Future, golf outings, annual installation banquet, membership gatherings, educational programs, and Area Council meetings.
- Manage event details from planning through completion, including schedules, registrations, participant communication, vendors, promotion, and on-site logistics.
- Coordinate builder participation for the Parade of Homes and exhibitor participation and booth sales for Build My Future.
- Manage COHBA Event Center bookings, maintain the event calendar, and communicate with clients regarding event arrangements.
- Work with staff and committees to develop and promote successful events and programs.
- Provide staff support to the Parade of Homes Committee, Workforce Development Committee, Associates Council, and other assigned committees.
- Coordinate association website updates and event information.
- Assist with member inquiries, general office needs, and facility coordination, including communication with building tenants and service providers.
- Support other association activities as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in event planning, hospitality, association work, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- A welcoming approach to working with members, volunteers, clients, and vendors.
- Initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems calmly when plans change.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and learning registration, database, and website tools.
- A dependable team member who takes ownership of their work and follows through.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with evening and weekend work required based on the association’s event schedule. The Events Director is expected to be present and actively involved in event preparation and on-site execution.
Compensation and Benefits
