We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Events team at Marsh. This role will be based in New York City and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of four days per week in the office.
As an
Event Coordinator, you will be part of a collaborative team that truly cares about professional development and bringing out the best in each other. This role will support the coordination of organizing memorable internal and external meetings and events providing outstanding client service in a fast-paced environment through the seamless execution of global events - managing logistics, budgets, vendor relationships, and on-site support. We will count on you to:- Support the global events team by managing budgets, sourcing venues and restaurants, coordinating décor, catering, branding, room setups, AV, travel logistics, event schedules, supply ordering, packing, and shipping.
- Maintain and update the NYC restaurant guide and vendor lists (caterers, florists, entertainers, décor providers, gift suppliers, speakers' bureaus, restaurants, and venues) to ensure a reliable network of partners.
- Partner with the global creative team to request digital/print materials and coordinate production with print shops.
- Perform as a power user for the registration website and mobile app: building basic sites, developing and proofreading content, maintaining updates, tracking registrations, and generating reports.
- Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate ticket allocation for New York-based premium hospitality suites and seating assets.
- Support inventory management and branded items, tracking and ordering while sourcing new vendors and maintaining vendor relationships; attend industry events to network and stay current on the trends
- Manage the team's monthly calendar; prepare meeting agendas; coordinate in-office logistics (Zoom setup, conference room bookings, visitor passes); and support expense submission, review, and processing
- Provide on-site event management support for day and evening events as needed
What you need to have: - Bachelor's Degree
- At least 1 year of event planning experience
- Residency in the NYC tri-state area and ability to work in-office at least 4 days per week
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Flexible schedule with willingness to travel for on-site event support, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours during peak event seasons
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $49,300 to $98,600.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
