Description

SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Program Standards and Accreditation provides day-to-day oversight of NACD’s event registration and continuing education credit team and works closely with the Vice President, Content and Event Experience, Content Leads, Credentialing, and other stakeholders to ensure that all NACD programs are implemented meeting the standards for continuing education credit defined by the accrediting organization. 



Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

  • Provides leadership and managerial oversight for the management, tracking and awarding of all NACD continuing education credit offered for courses, programs, and events
  • Provides strategic oversight of day-to-day accreditation operations
  • Works with key stakeholders to determine, implement, and monitor program standards and business rules/exceptions
  • Works with Vice President, Content and Event Experience to develop and implement processes and procedures to help enhance the experience at all NACD events
  • Provides leadership and managerial oversight of two direct reports; Senior Project Manager, Events and Accreditation, and Analyst, Registration
  • Completes accreditation applications and audit reviews to maintain high quality assurance standards
  • Continually evaluates key operational processes to facilitate accreditation and continuing education credit workflows to improve productivity and maintain high standards of quality control
  • Troubleshoots and resolves elevated accreditation and CEU concerns
  • Works with the Analyst, Registration in the preparation and distribution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports
  • Works closely with the Analyst, Registration, data operations, and accounting in the development of standardized reporting for revenue recognition
  • Develops and maintains partnerships with internal stakeholders and understands business strategies across the organization
  • Works collaboratively with marketing department and content leads to ensure clarity for all communication and online information
  • Resolves conflicts, and devise contingency plans, communicates decisions, and deadlines
  • Oversees the accuracy and timeliness in registration processing, confirmation distribution, and registration outreach e.g. KBYG, Badge Review, and Pre-read material
  • Provides dashboard reports to leadership, published in quarterly NACD Board of Directors updates
  • Establishes and manages registration standards and processes for all NACD programs, courses, and events; including selection of technology vendor
  • Travels to and attends in person events as needed
  • Works closely with IT and Marketing on program registration set up and event detail pages on the website
  • Manages and trains the onsite registration team for large events
  • Manages the relationship with third-party registration company for NACD Summit
  • Performs other duties as assigned

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Stands/walks for long periods of time at events
  • Climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls as needed
  • Lifts between 20 and 50 pounds on occasion

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of experience in customer service, registration, or project management.  Must possess strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, and be a team player with a positive attitude and professional work ethic.  Must possess and exhibit strong customer service skills, exemplary attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner. 

Must demonstrate ability to work independently as a self-starter as well as work as part of a team and collaboratively across the organization, handling multiple activities and priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining utmost professionalism, organization, and extreme attention to detail.  Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required. Experience with Salesforce, Fonteva, Nimble, Zoom, is preferred.
